Kayla Pope

Kayla is a first year student at Robson Hall. She is originally from Vancouver, British Columbia and has a BA in Applied Behaviour Analysis. Kayla is mainly interested in environmental law.

Janelle Hoffman

Janelle is a second year student. Prior to law school she earned a Bachelor of Science, Honours in Psychology with distinction from the University of Manitoba. She has volunteered for organizations such as Pro Bono Students Canada, Mennonite Disaster Service, and The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Tyler Omichinski

Tyler is a first year student. He is from Winnipeg, Manitoba, and received his BA in Political Science. He has been involved in debating for nine years and is interested in civil litigation.

Kamini Dowe

Kamini is currently a second year law student. An active member of the Robson Hall community, she is the Marketing Co-Chair for the Manitoba Law Students' Association and is involved with Pro Bono Students Canada, the Canadian Journal of Human Rights and the Canadian Journal of Women and the Law. Prior to law school, Kamini completed a Bachelor of Arts at the University of WInnipeg and worked full-time for the federal government in various capacities.

Kendra Carfantan

Kendra is a first year student at Robson Hall. Prior to attending law school, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree (with distinction) from Vancouver Island University with a major in Criminology. Kendra is interested in Criminal Law and Civil Forfeitures. Outside of school, Kendra figure skates and volunteers with NASHI, a charity committed to combatting human trafficking in the Ukraine.

Monica Shannon

Monica is a first year law student. She is an associate on a research paper for the Federal government regarding Aboriginal Gangs in Canada that is being published 2012. (Authors: Dr. Micheal Weinrath & Melanie Nimmo) Monica has graduated from the University of Winnipeg with degrees in Sociology, Conflict Resolution Studies and honors in Criminal Justice. Monica’s legal interests are in historical and current relations of Aboriginal peoples with the criminal justice system and criminal law.

Cathy Bator

Cathy is a third year student at Robson Hall. Prior to law school she earned BA in criminology ad religion, and a Bachelor of Social Work both from the Univ. of Manitoba. Cathy volunteers at Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Mediation Services, and Child Find Manitoba. Cathy is interested in criminal, family, and child protection law. She spent summer 2010 working in the Legal Aid Manitoba - Criminal Law Office and at Winnipeg Child and Family Services.

Rana Bokhari

Rana is a third year student. She is the Manitoba Law Student's Association (MLSA) President for 2011-12. Rana has earned two BA from the Univ. of Manitoba in psychology and criminology. She is also a graduate student in sociology. Rana’s legal interests are in civil litigation and health law.

Brad Findlater

Brad is a third year student. He is originally from Langley, BC and attended the Univ. of Calgary where he earned his BA majoring in psychology. He has always been involved in competitive sports including soccer and volleyball. His main subject interests are civil litigation, corporate, and business law.

Taeya Fitzpatrick

Taeya is a third year student. She completed a Bachelors of Business Administration at the Univ. of British Columbia. Taeya also managed to find a job for the summer of 2011 working for a law firm in Kelowna.

Kara Hill

Kara is in her third year at Robson Hall and is particularly interested in Constitutional and Labour Law. Kara spent summer 2011 working at the law firm in her native Kenora, ON. Prior to attending Robson Hall, she obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree with Distinction at the University of Victoria in English and Women's Studies.

Amber Lamboo

Amber is a third year student. She earned a BA in Criminology and Psychology from the Univ. of Manitoba. Prior to Law School she volunteered with the Canadian Diabetes Association and with Choices Youth Mentorship Program. Her main area of interest in law school is Property Law. For the summer 2011 Amber summered at a small firm dealing with Real Estate and Wills and Estate matters.

Catherine Laspina

Catherine is a third year student. She has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in psychology from the University of Manitoba. Before pursuing her professional degree, Catherine danced for many years at Monica’s Danz Gym, performing around the world. She is interested in tort and contract law, but is open to all areas. Catherine has had a wide variety of jobs including being a lab instructor in Computer Sciences at the Univ. of Manitoba and painting new homes being built around the city.

Landon Miller

Landon has earned a BA, majoring in English Literature from the University of Alberta. Prior to attending law school, Landon was active in politics at the provincial level in Alberta. Landon's interests in law are wide ranging, from civil and administrative litigation, to tax and securities law.

Joel Myskiw

Joel is a third year student. He earned a BA in psychology & criminology from the University of Manitoba. Joel volunteers for several charitable organizations in Winnipeg; Guardian Angels organization that has raised over 4 million dollars for women’s cancer research and at Giving Back – a youth drop in centre in Winnipeg’s inner city.

Mary-Ellen Wayne

Mary-Ellen is a third year law student with a keen interest in real estate, alternative dispute resolution, and family law. Prior to attending Robson Hall, she earned a Bachelor of Arts (with Distinction) from the University of Manitoba with a major in psychology.
