Admission To First Year

Changes for 2016-17 Admission to First year (Approved by Senate on January 7, 2015):

  • Last LSAT date accepted will be December in year of application (i.e. December 2015 for September 2016 admission)
     
  • Deadline to complete the minimum 60 credit hours (equal to: 20 one term, or 10 two term (or combination thereof)), will be Fall Term in year of application (i.e. December 2015 for September 2016 admission)

The first year class at Robson Hall, Faculty of Law is approximately 106 students.   

Eligibility Requirements
  • Academic Requirements
      • Minimum of 20 one term or 10 two term, or combination thereof, university degree level courses (60 credit hours)

        OR

      • If an applicant is 26 years of age by September 1 in the year admission is sought, a minimum of 10 one term or 5 two term, or combination thereof, university degree level courses (30 credit hours). If more than 30 credit hours are complete, the AGPA will be calculated using all completed courses.

  • LSAT - Law School Admissions Test

The Juris Doctor, J.D., is a three year degree program.
