Career Resources

We are located on the 4th Floor, across from Room 440.  You will find a job postings on our bulletin boards, as well as brochures from firms and other law related organizations.  We also have a vast array of resources, including information on exchange programs, networking opportunities, volunteer opportunities, as well as resume and interview preparation for your use.  We encourage you to stop in and let us assist you during your career research!

Career Resource Guide:The Career Development Office has compiled information on planning your career and the application process into one handy guide! Subjects include summer employment and articling information, different types of firms/organizations, judicial clerkship information, networking, sample resume and cover letters, and much more! We suggest that you check out some of the handbooks produced by other Canadian law faculties regarding cover letters, resumes and interviews, as each handbook offers interesting tips on application processes in different jurisdictions.  Some of these handbooks are available through the Career Development Office (refer to book list above), or online at our Researching Legal Careers page, on the "Canadian Law Schools" tab under "Useful Links".

viDesktop is a tool used by firms in Toronto to receive a high volume of applications in a manageable form.  It is also helpful to you as a student, as you may be applying to a high volume of firms, and it will allow you to keep your documents organized, as well as help you keep track of which firms you have applied to.
